The Youth Pastor

 

Minister Jack Thatcher

Min. Jack Thatcher has been a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church of New Rochelle since 1983. He was ordained as a Deacon in 1984 and was called to preach in 1986.

He's been involved in our Sunday Morning Bible study as both a teacher and superintendent, Evangelism Ministry, Youth Ministry and the Friday morning prayer team. He also one of our drivers in the Van Ministry.

He graduated from New Rochelle HS in 1968 and received his B.A. from Pace University in 1974 majoring in Marketing and Accounting.

For 18 years he was in the banking industry and worked for various banks during that time and retired from the banking industry in 1994. He now is a school bus driver for the Scarsdale Board of Education.

His love for working with young people started in the 70's when he helped co-found the N.R. Youth Soccer League. He later helped co-found the Westchester Youth Soccer League.

He has been married to Glenda for the past 27 years and have three children, Lance, Erika, Brittany and 4 grandchildren.

Since September 2006, he has served as the Youth Pastor at Bethesda.
