Welcome to Bethesda Baptist Church of New Rochelle

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. We have prepared the information on these pages with you in mind. We hope you will find it helpful.

Bethesda is "The Church with the Healing Touch." Our vision is "To glorify God by reaching, teaching, and motivating people to become genuine followers of Jesus Christ."

"The Essential Qualities of A Faithful Steward" is 2010's theme. God calls us to be managers of the resources He has placed in our care. When I become a faithful steward, my spiritual growth is evident for all to see. I am no longer selfish, but open to sharing my time, talents, and treasures for the good of the Kingdom of God. To be a faithful steward is to be a mature believer, to be a person of faith who takes seriously God's call and mandate.

Bethesda seeks to help every covenant-disciple to become a faithful steward. No one can find meaning for their lives apart from God. Therefore, spiritual growth is critical to developing a deep intimate relationship with God.

Rev. Dr. Allen Paul Weaver, Jr.

Breast Cancer Walk

Making StridesThe Board of Mission will join the Westchester County Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Manhattenville College in Purchase, New York. Each year we participate in this five mile walk to raise funds and to raise awareness of the need to help medical researchers find a cure for breast cancer. Call the church office at (914) 632-6713 and register to participate and walk with the members of the Board of Mission for this worthy cause. Ask your friends to sponsor you to donate to this cause based on the number of miles you are able to walk.

Mission Sunday

October 31, 2010 is Mission Sunday. We will have one service beginning at 9:00 a.m. All covenant-disciples, those who attend the 7:30 and the 10:30, are asked to attend the 9:00 a.m. Worship Service. This is the first solidarity service we will be observing. We are seeking to bring both congregations together at least four times a year in a Unity Worship Service. The Board of Mission is in charge of worship. Our guest speaker, Rev. LaTrelle Eastering, is from the Union United Methodist Church in Boston, MA. Come, join us as we celebrate Mission Sunday, as we worship in solidarity as one congregation, as we get to know one another. We will not have our regular Sunday Morning Bible Study. Call the church office for more details at (914) 632-6713.
